I.    Situation

 

In 2009, Catholic Health System tasked Travers Collins to promote its bariatric program at Sisters Hospital. There was opportunity to draw more patients from the Canadian market, since the waiting period in Canada for bariatric surgeries can be up to eight years.

 

II.    Execution

 

After meeting with the team at Catholic Health, we strongly recommended a microsite, Search Engine Optimization, banner ads and strategic traditional advertising. The website featured testimonials, downloadable brochures on the different procedures, and the ability to register for a newsletter based on your position in the process of determining if bariatric surgery is right for you.

 

III.    Results

 

Within three months of running this campaign, Catholic Health had prequalified over 100 patients for the procedure, which was more than 1,000% higher than the surgeries completed the previous year. Due to this response, Catholic Health made the decision to take the campaign offline.
