Travers Collins’ go-to guy, Whitey delivers packages for the agency. And with his sharp wit, he also delivers non-stop laughter, which makes him a bit of a living legend in the local ad business.
Whitey is entrusted with making sure that our most important deadlines are met. For most people, it would be a stressful job. But Whitey takes it all in stride. Because when you’ve jumped out of planes during the Korean War, is a delivery to a printer really anything to worry about? He spent 16 years working for Regal Beverage and eight years with Penn Central Railroad. While tending bar at Thruway Lanes, an ad exec from Faller, Klenk & Quinlan walked in, and the rest is history.
Whitey describes his job at Travers Collins as both “fantastic and fascinating.” But take that with a grain of salt, as Whitey is one of the most sarcastic people around. A real firecracker, Whitey enjoys staying in touch with old friends and making new ones. That’s what keeps him coming back day after day. Western New York is better – and more humorous – for it.
