Buffalo, N.Y., February 24, 2012 – Buffalo-based integrated marketing communications firm Travers Collins recently won the award for “Best Place to Work for Young Professionals” at the First Annual Emerging Business Leaders (EBL) Awards Gala. The EBL Awards Gala honored young professionals under the age of 39 who have demonstrated excellence through business or civic achievement in the Western New York area.

Travers Collins was nominated along with four other businesses in the “Best Place to Work for Young Professionals” category. The selection committee made up of award sponsors such as National Grid, Katz Americas and Blue Cross Blue Shield elected Travers Collins as the inaugural recipient of this award.  

Travers Collins was praised for encouraging its young associates to not just be good at their job, but to be smart at them. The aptly named Travers Collins blog, smartyrants, was also mentioned as a unique outlet for young associates to voice opinions on industry news and happenings. Currently, Travers Collins employs ten associates under the age of 39
