Dozen of area’s top CFOs honored

Williamsville, N.Y. (October 6, 2011) Twelve top financial executive officers were honored Oct. 6 at Salvatore’s Italian Gardens.

 

The annual event is sponsored by Business First, Citizens Bank and and The Bonadio Group CPAs with support from Toshiba Business Solutions.

The honorees are:

 

Lifetime Achievement Award: Diane Bielinski, comptroller, Clark Rigging & Rental Corp., Lockport.

 

Education: Brenda McGee, senior vice president for finance and administration, St. Bonaventure University    St. Bonaventure University.

 

Government: Lezlie Farrell, CFO, Genesee County Economic Development Center, Batavia.

 

Health: Christopher Leardini, vice president, finance and corporate treasurer, BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York, Buffalo.

 

Hospitals: David Macholz, vice president of finance, corporate controller, Catholic Health System.

Hospitality: James Cronin, CFO, Intertech Digital Entertainment Inc., Lockport.

 

Nonprofits: Mary Bartels, controller, Greater Niagara Frontier Council Inc. Boy Scouts of America; and Matthew Shriver, vice president-finance, YMCA Buffalo Niagara.

 

Private company: Linda Doran, vice president of finance, Employer Services Corp.; and Cheryl Lickfeld, chief financial/administrative officer, Travers Collins & Co., Buffalo.

 

Community service: Michael Quinn, CFO, UB|MD Physicians Group, Buffalo.

 

Publisher’s Choice Award: Dennis Sullivan, controller, Speed Global Services.

 

Judges for the Financial Executives Award were Joe Alber, Ph.D., Canisius College;Susan Kowalewski, Ph.D., D’Youville College; Michael Lillis, Ph.D., Medaille College; and Robert Smith, plant controller at Nestle Purina PetCare Co. and a 2010 winner.
