Bucks for Books “Nerd Alert” Fundraiser

Bucks for Books "Nerd Alert" Travers Collins Fundraiser

Recently, Travers Collins unveiled its new brand identity and “smart” ideology. We wanted to show support to a local cause in concert with our brand launch, and chose one of the smartest causes around – the Buffalo News Bucks For Books campaign.

“Books and libraries were a huge part of my childhood and definitely had a role in the path my life has taken.  Whether it was my weekly trip to my grammar school’s library to check out another Hardy Boys book…or my frequent bike excursions to the Eggertsville-Snyder branch of the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library, I could never get enough books to read as a child.  Anything we can do to support our library system is a payback,” said Bill Collins, Principal, TraversCollins.

On October 27 from 10-2 PM, Travers Collins along with some of its Nerdy pals including First Niagara, Larkin Development, Bucks for Books and Ted’s Hot Dogs will be hosting a fundraising event in the lobby of the Larkin at Exchange building, at which people will receive a pair of Travers Collins “nerd glasses” and a Ted’s discount coupon when they donate $5 to Bucks For Books. We will be having a media/photo opportunity that day at 11 AM where other donations will be made to Bucks for Books. More info on that to come.
